Abstract
|
|
|
Infantile spasma is a symom complex which is still a therapeutic problem.
This report reviews author´s experience and literature.
In writer´s experience, the identification of the syndrome was not difficult. Most cases had no known causes. Treatment of the illness with the usual anticonvulsant was helpful in some cases.
Trearment with ACTH revealed dramatic cessation of the seizures and improvement of the EEG.
This treatment with ACTH seemed to be best treatment.
Unfortuatley, however, this ACTH treatment also are failed in some.
